‘Litter the fryer ‘ Based on the ‘chiringuito de pepe’ (beach bar of pepe )

This is the Greek vversion of the original Spanish story as noticed in the end of episodes

I have not seen the original series except the little info  shown in its imdb page that shows just 16 episodes and I am quite impressed that the Greek team modified it into 110!!! Episodes

Greek version in the other side is made  mostly with catchup dialogue and scenes and format very close to the ‘old and bad’  series ‘SOS mi vida’ from Argentine or  Sarita as it was known those times (around 2008 )  

What I mean with that is , the story is as like an umbrella of short substories   A  bad (=highly toxic if not criminal ) team continuously does bad things against the good team filling most of the story with humorous  mini  stories 

In SOS falucho , the lawyer . Miguel , Queszada’s cousin and Constanza are in the bad group while the Monita , martin Qickue and most remain ere the good

IN the fryer story  , Zabela , Alex and by a way Menios and in second session Luna are the bad boys of the series See below the characters in more detail

Many guests also add spice  humor and faster pace in a high paced story. this catchup dialogue a scene are really  very intriguing and funny that makes you laugh strongly.

The  foundation of the story is very similar to the pepe’s beach bar in the start of the series :

Kimon Orloff  a 12 stars chef in Italy is asked by his stepfather before his end of life advises him to look after his natural father Andrew helping him and his tavern called Lagudera . Selena and Andrew are his natural parents Kimon’s father was a ‘bad’ friend of him a love envy!

Kimon’s wife Natalie orders him to keep his son with him, a  person he barely knows. He takes him in the small village where the seaside  tavern is located and as with Pepe  story without revealing him  the real reason except later mentioning to his sous-chef and his girlfriend . His idea is simple : investing money to the tavern, pay of the debts and do a restart of it with gourmet food in step by step basis .

To add for hurdles, Andrew’s sister  Zabela and her husband Alex have some offer from Russians to buy Lagudera for around 2 million euros and always try  for ideas to destroy their easily vulnerable  victim  Andrews who thinks that his sister and her spouse support him. Add also to that onndrew who refuses to go steps towrads the change of his tavern ito a gourmet restaurant!
Any disclosures of Kimon's identity  is heard on 40th episode with andrew to be the last

The character team  of the series is also very interesting All of them are very ‘huge’:

-Kimon orloff is already refered above aged around 45

-Andrew  (Andreas in Greek ) is his natural father a man around 70 Thre are always clashes between him and Orloff

-The fryer is the key of the story. Andrew has a strong persistence with ‘her’ as like being his wife making the money for the tavern  Drop the fryer is a not only figurative giving of the change of era but also a real reason to completely change the dishes using other more healthy ways of cooking among the frame of gourmet cooking. All the last years of using this 45 years old[!!]  fryer  made fried food  a kind of total disgust

-Philip the son of Kimon a very timid person at his 15 years . His mom was quite demanding from him before he first met Kimon

-Fotini the sous chef works for Kimon but made a good relationship, soicrates with the son of Andrew. One very nice sweety woman at 30s

-Socrates is the good sweet boy and very sensitive personality . He always offers positive energy to anyone and also good ‘actor’ to persuade well . Knows to cook and serves in the tavern . He is seemed as a[nti]sexual

-Lakis is the ‘typical Greek lover’  who likes to gym  himself and quite ironic.  He is the elder son of Alex and Izabela but because he knows their bad characters he prefers to live with his uncle and cousin. They are like brothers .By ‘greek lover’ means a person who likes to pick up girls , mainly foreign

-Marieta : A divorced woman with confisserie and bread  is also the psychologist  of the city and Kimon in more particular . It was the first wet dream for Philip

-Thalia, Marieta’s daughter a no limits girl of on the same class on the high school and very aggressive character. Menios is maniac with her but she hates him

-Falon  (from Garufalia - carnation  ) is a woman with a small ship catches and  sells fishes . She has a  very string insistence over Andrews wanting to marry him but always he rejects her

-Mamadu is a man from Senegal[? wandering name across Africa ] who works for Falon. A very energetic guy who likes  to dance and mimic sounds. A crazy and very sensitive guy  

-Zabella is Andrews sister and a very mean person who tries the best fo her benefit . With her husband they have a local TV channel and sell also  room and buildings via their channel.extremely mean.

-Alex zabella’s husband . A rather extraordinary person very fanatic of PASOK the old named socialist party likes  to eat ‘dirty’  and grilled food. He is victim of his wife and is also quite sly and boorish but also stupid from Zabela's point of view  .Use nearly the format of Fatseas a character he is mostly acclaimed as in this series.

-Menios is the craziest character of the series . His mania is Thalia and is also very dangerous against Philip in the start of the series for this reason and generally against anyone his  parents  think gets against their benefits . Quite stupid and unable to leave the high school for more than 5 years . simply because he is ‘insusceptible  of learning’ [‘unlearnable’] as called in greek  Any tries of Thalia to teach him the lessons  are impossible! Mamadu is his best friend
-Sorbutis  the bad guy and the gossiper and nark of the village who is paid too much to give info and read the cards for fortune, His tariff can start from 50Eu for just a second of info!

Of the second season -info Ant1  site and from what watched -

-Petra : the niece of Falon who later discloses herself as police woman  falls  in love with Socrates without he knowing thata dn helps this family to disclose the biggest secret of the bad partners Neurotic and  bit despotic. A rather 'officially' invisible person

-Paulina working for Marieta after a classified, as delivery person for her . Simply because Thalia ‘left the series’   . A very stupid person of the story many times working together with Mamadu and Menios

-Luna the most awkward character of the story , semi human person of the Russian mafia and very dangerous the 'rather' boss of Zabella and Alex

Thea re a few more characters in all the serial who have little to middle effect in this story

The envy chef from the nearby village together with Zabela put some retarding powder on the charcoal sachet of Lagoudera but Andrew visually understood the problem changes the charcoal and they win  I made my own version using my own bad story character doing something more sly than that…

For more of the above stories the guests vulnerabilities are easily disclosed  with the highest of them for the wine tester throughout the story.  

Notice that the second season is  mostly a continuous conflict  between the bad (Luna  for Russian  M.a.fi,a Zabella Andrew and Sorbutis in behahf  ) and the good group that is the family of Andrew, Marieta  Petra and Fotini to acquire back the restaurant t from Russians that happened form the First episode of the first session and in the middle. this paret is mixed with mystery thriller drama a bit of metaphysics - camera tricks- mixed always with extremities and improvisation on both sceanrio and dirertor's  tricks that seem more than the first  season 
In a nutshell the story shows on how Kimos loses everything from his restarurant in Italy directed by his sous chef all  the time he was in his faher's tavern , benned to leave italy when finally his brother flee his to escape and one again to work for the tavern Petra replaces Falon gets in love with Socrates and mixes wir the group to help identify the backers of the mafia group and the transfer of the tavern into another home.  There a  a love triagle againbetween Kimon Foitini and Marianna as in the first part whichis also the serious part of the story.
Luna and two boys the times the tavern is closed pack calamaris  inside boxees filled with broken diamonds and then pass the country .She and zabella are into  a mix boss , slave and the reverse. Zabella a very suspicious person is also in a love and hate with her spouse.  .
The funny love triangle is between Paulina  Menios and Mamadu  with very  crazy scenes. Menios is also the boss in a dance bar.
Fallon also returns twice in the series in the last 15 episodes after bearing a chind 

----------------facts---

The place is on the southern Greece on Messinia (S Peloponese) fictionally called Ftasmeno a nice beach with a tavern in the middle of it.

The series was ranked #1 in the prime time of the first season and #3 in the second season due to two old era drama series. Most audience advised that though the story was very interesting in the first season , The second season was rather disappointing in terms of interest even if the numbers were around a20% and with a special New Tears  Eve 2020  musical episode with a length of 160 minutes that gained around 22%  audience
MR Bezos starring as MR Andrew in the series is a actor for more than 40 years and is also a a very good singer since 90s 


My personal verdict: the series  is quite funny to very crazy that is filled with many gags and catchuup words in the first season that is relatively annoying. In the second season and the different  structure of the scenario , the improvisation  techniques are more frequent then n the first part 
I m sure that if the story was written by another  writing team the story would bi smoother. possibly limiting the rather annoying extremities!
