El ultimo vagon
One of the most impressive Mexican movies I see this year.
First to note that the movie has a different original title called el ulitimo vagon or the last wagon, which is also used in Greece.
This is the story of a young boy named Ikal, whose nomadic family moves from one city to another as required by the bosses of his stepfather, who works in a railroad construction company. Due to these conditions, as a young student, he is quite incapable of learning the school lessons since he still does not know how to read.
The story goes back and forth in time, showing him as a school inspector, while the rest shows his activities in school and his life with his buddies. The teacher helped him to learn and also acted as his second mother.
The movie is very nice as also the rural places it reminds my very long ago childish time. it is not so shallow as anyone can think it shows the best of not only the boy but also the remaining characters and the value of having friends.
Carlo Isaac, the actor's name is not shown in the first rank of the movies web page.
