TARANTINO’S bastards some musings
I have never seen the DVD but finally seen it in Netflix many yeas later
This movie is very typical to Tarantino with much doses of stupid atrocious exaggeration as for example not only ‘killing for pleasure’ but also making bloody tattoos with knifes and ‘talking s c a l p s’ in verbatim. . This is ridiculous
Comparing with the original Italian movie Quel Maledetto Treno Blindato (That Damned Armored Train) aka the inglorious bastards the later is much better even if the movie is a bit mediocre
Another HIndi movie length at 150 minutes log and quite fast paced with nearly continuous action, some of that good some of that ridiculous showing the atrocities .
Interesting chapter changes with some blank intermissions in between.
Disregarding the ferocious scenes The story is funny as the dialogues and parts of the scenes. The start titles reminds the older Italian spaghetti movies .
Bradd Pitt is doing nothing special except
passing himself well in the movie and supposedly humiliating his group the
bastards as a kind of inefficient headhunter group tough quite glorious in the German army!! His the most laughable point is on trying to speak
Italian!! Its as like a American trying to speak Greek
for first time : the word skata (=shit) was pronounced as skaRa (grate) with R pronounced
between T and R. I ‘ve also heard someone trying to pronounce well known Greek
singers in a totally unintelligible way. That s hilarious!!
In contrast Waltz is very good in acting and well hilarious with his ‘noble chatterbox’ and in the end of the movie laughing as a child Self sarcasm for sure !
Just 3/10 due to atrocious actions Otherwise 5/10
