The most sucessful TV program in Greece on 18

..is Masterchef 
I have already read that the englsih  format  of  Masterchef uses only two jurors  on  chef and one cooking jounalist.
Thsi year the  journalist juror did a real  guff by calling a malay contestant  that her food a chicken rendang was not crisp. That proves he is not well aware on how rendang is made. Actually it is a meat or poultry, slowly cooked into  coconut milk with various spices .This made a strong controversy   in twitter and other sites with even commentaries from the Malay  ministers.I also know that because i have  made the same dish many times before and also put a  photo on facebook and .Instagram as proof

Anyway  this is not the reason   of this post . it was just a way to write this article.

The NEW Greek Masterchef format  has posibly many shown   new 'fresher' ideas  that pushed in the top of the greek audience with hunderds of thousand if not millions of fans. I just share on some facts  of our  version.

It  started airing arond 5+ years ago by  Mega TV channel, a legendary nationwide channel  which is now in total demise ready top  stop operations. It  used the american  format  . MsC  has been  transfered to Star TV since   last year, a channel known here  for airing mostly  movies  and series at used nearly the same format as before with gourmet only dishes and three well knwon chefs as jurors coaches.

This  year's Greek version is a reality style  that mixes  typical  in-house cooking and short-timed  discussions in the house hosting the competitoros onhow they   pass their life in a nearby building.Location of faculties  are nearby Athens  , The building was a former  warehouse or small industry. Prodction team  shows  short funny video clips from inside and also the  comments of  the contestats in each stage of the  daily's competition . Non contesing members of the day during member withdrawal usually guide  the contestans from the nostrum /stage. Chefs also run along the contestants the time  of  cooking.  Cooking process  varies between 45-90 max depending on  dish difficulty.

-Each episode  runs betwewn 65-90 minutes plus two to three 20-24 advert  intervals (ard 15 minutes)

-Ratings are based with max of 10 . Gourmet   and creative cooking only used .

-On the withdrawal  process between the lowest rated contestants of hte previous day, well known chefs of the 'market'  participate  and show  heir dishes that  contestants must duplicate .The loser gets out of the game.

-There are several double  episodes  of outdoor production travelling across the country. First day is with  outdoor trips of learning techniques and outdoor coooking. Among these episodes  there were once  cooking nearby a  river , cllecting fishes from  a fish culture plant or  even searchin for wild  mushrooms with the help of trained dogs .  All of these trips are also  learning classes .
Cooking times  were  defined inbetween 45-90 minutes
The next TV day is  cooking in a resort - hotel or restaurant ,  gourmet level , usually close to the place they visited. I can asume they are  the sponsor of the program of the day.(unconfirmed)

-There were two other intersting posible twits of the main aussie formts
Once families of contestants were asked to join the match
Once in 2-3 episodes high grade chefs  were asked to join as mentors of  contestants. For silver award of 10000 Eu

-The production was condemned  with  twists  in the following points that get into much discusion and controversy   inside twiter and youtube :
 Using persons suitable only for  intrigues and keeping them longer than they deseve  .I can call them as cameos here.
 Altering the scenes and withdrawing different person than whom it was originally intended . One case only
 Leading the jurors do the same by ofering  higher ratings to someone best suited to the production. 2+ cases
 Twisting the rules for good or bad . As in example two withdrawed contestants ,but very good chefs,  were proposed by the  jurors to work with them . Putting a second chance to already withdrawed contenstant or not withdraw him  for a second chance .
 Thee was also a controversy with a female contestant who studied proffesional  cooking in Italy and was also contestant in the italian version of MSC and left early from the game.  Ranked aroud 42 out of 100.

-Around 110 days passed since its start of airing ie FOUR MONTHS adn we are now into the finalist program with a  mixture of... travels across  europe.Barcelona , London and Torino together with excontestants for moral suport  wirth nearly the same patern: Cooking  in front of passengers a short masterclass course and  cooking in a high grade restaurant. These episodes are around 130  minutes available  up to -36 hours later in youtube . All  jurors were impressed with the cooperation and the healthy rivalry between thse two contestants.
The pre-final  day is back in the production facilities showing food in a reunion with  ex-contestants and  inverse jury .  Finalists were the jurors.  The three main jurors leaded  the three groups from the excontestants  who together cooked  high class  snacks These snacks  were used as like the pop corn in the cinema while watching flashback videos and dicussing  on them  . Twiter users were  fully  enthoused  with  this program as the best of all the program so far and highly appreciated  the very smart videoreporting and editing team
The final episode was a cooking marathon. Finalists were  4 times under contest cooking for 3 times of one hour for entree , mean dish and dessert separately and then duplicating  a very complex dish of 3 parts with 3 hours time. The results were then presented live.

-All episodes are live streamed in Star Channel's web page in HD, saved ,then immediately availabe  to the public . In Youtube  most of the episodes and  4-6 highlights per day available one hour later to 24 for the final competitions

Program  was in the second rank for long time. Intrigues and twists raised it into the number one rank  bypassing the ranked one  program 'survivor' with audience levels up to 25%>Ther were no info on the final episode however.
There was the competing program Hells Kitchen aired in Antenna TV  with only 8-10%  audience featuring the  Italian born Chef Botrini who used a 'softer'  as called,  version of Ramsey's behaviour as it was mentioned in Twitter although many Twitter fans of Masterchef called him mean.

I m sure that the greek version  goes even further  than the australian model
If anyone knows better please let me know if m wrong with the aussie  format. I have never watched it neither have the time  to watch that.Live streaming  via the net is territory prohibited...An Aussie  friend of me feels as like being in the jail watching it.

Also please advise me  what is the standard format  in your country and what it is intended
A frind of me from Sweden  adised me that the  Nordic  MSC is  intended only for making sweets
